Nordine & Associates is a local remodeling contractor. About a year ago they updated their logo, and they needed a website to match their new brand. The requirements were to get something up fast, that looked good, and matched their current style. I used Wordpress as the CMS and was able to get everything assembled and online in two weeks. A quickie but goodie.
After completing the site for the St. Luke School I was asked to redo the site for their church. The main purpose was to create an easily updatable site where church members could get current information about service times and community events. Joomla was used as the CMS and a special front end editor was added so that the church staff could make changes as they browsed the site, instead of navigating the administrator section which can be a little intimidating.
This is one of my favorite sites. It's a site for those in the dog show community and has a ton of content. The main draw of the site is it offers a place for people to post their dog along with a pedigree and other details. Additional features are a forum, a blog, a dictionary of dog terms, a place to rate judges from your past shows and a community center to post your own profile.
I recently purchased a new home, and part of the process was have a home inspector give it the once over. I was incredibly lucky to find the best home inspector in Columbus, Travis Moyer. Travis made the process of home purchasing stress free, educational, and enjoyable. Three things that he also does in his blog, which I recently had the opportunity to redesign for him. His old blog was great, but some features of the layout and navigation made it hard for people to find what they were looking for. I had a great time redesigning the site, and getting to know Travis in the process. If you're into home remodeling you should really check out his section on tool tips and getting to know your home. Or if you're in the process of purchasing a new home I would highly recommed giving him a call for your inspection.
The Beach Mall is an addition to the existing DealBuoy.com website. DealBuoy is a coupon website that offers deals and coupons for restaurants, products and services. The Beach Mall adds a section for displaying affiliate links, so that users can receive discounts for their favorite online retailers, and DealBuoy pulls in a little extra revenue.
The page and artwork were all done from scratch, going through several rounds of sketches and revisions before finally settling on the design above. The rendering was done in Blender starting with a beautiful island scene by Agustin Benavidez. The links and some touch up was done in Photoshop with the final HTML5 piece being put into Wordpress as an iframe. Over time we'll be adding more links and more deals. I'm excited to watch it grow and hopefully get to do some more rendering, which is something I don't get to do enough of.
One of my favorite sites to have worked on. Dorothy was updating her website to display more of her work online and act as more of a portfolio piece. As a full service marketing firm Madison East needed to show a variety of work, from print to video, photography and public relation services. The fun here was keeping each page fresh, and presenting the material in unique ways. Not to mention that Dorothy is great to work with. Madison East Advertising is very creative and energetic company, and one that I was happy to get to know.
